iWHAT

iWHAT is designed, built and maintained by Marobi IT Consult. The product is the results of years of work in realizing Data Warehouse solutions. It provides pragmatic, standard solutions to common tasks and challenges.

The philosophy behind the toolset is based on:

"maintenance of a data warehouse starts with it's design"

The daily maintenance of a data warehouse by people, who very likely did not built the solution, is an expensive and complex activity. In many organisations  the costs involved are likely underrated and it is no exception that normal, daily maintenance of a Data Warehouse takes more than 1 FTE.

Why?

Well, the answer is not straight forward, but in a nutshell: ETL-toolsets and their usage in Data Warehouses are focused on the developer and not on de person, who has  the responsibility of maintaining these systems. These tools provide huge amounts of meta-information, but in a format that is NOT suited for maintenance. And this is where iWHAT excels, it takes over where these tools end. iWHAT focusses on the maintenance of a Data Warehouse without leaving the developers in the cold.
